Driver Yosip Lasek: Beating the drum for mental health awareness

A song has just been released by Hornsby driver and Mental Health Ambassador Yosip Lasek that hits all the right notes for Rail R U OK? Day. 

Featuring vocals by Hornsby guard Ian Hutchison and an arrangement by Yosip’s son Ryan, the song dubbed “Are You OK?” is set to feature heavily in various Sydney Trains Rail R U OK? Day videos this year and also be used for a range of future communications relating to our Mental Health Ambassador program.

eSCD pilot rollout: a champion effort from Hornsby and North Sydney

More and more crew are switching on electronic safety critical documents with the pilot extended to include teams at Hornsby and North Sydney. 

Since the pilot went live at the two locations on 5 April, over 71% of people have accessed and acknowledged their safety critical documents via the Train Crew Self Service (TCSS) app.

Crew Manager Hoa Dang has been pleased by the team’s willingness to adopt eSCDs which gives crew operational and safety critical information tailored by their role and depot.
