How we’re being energised by green power initiatives

In Train Crewing we continue to focus on developing new ways of working to reduce carbon emissions in our operation including the introduction of renewable energy technologies. 

Executive Director Train Crewing Hayden Donoghue explained to Crew Connect that we are committed to exploring ways to install devices that generate power through renewable sources. 

“Sydney Trains is one of the largest consumers of electricity in the state, however, more and more is being done to offset the organisation’s energy use,” said Hayden. 

Our February safety focus

We are custodians of our customers’ on-board journey experience and must be switched on for safety at all times. Our February safety focus is operating train doors, a critical risk for our business and one that can impact our people and customers the most.
